Convert Image

Convert a JPG, PNG or WebP image to another supported format while keeping its pixel dimensions.

Open Convert Image

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose one JPG, PNG or WebP image.
  2. Choose WebP, JPG or PNG in Output format.
  3. Run Convert Image and download the converted copy.
  4. Open the result in the application where you plan to use it, especially if the source contains transparency.

Supported files and result

Both input and output support JPG/JPEG, PNG and WebP. This tool does not convert PDF, SVG, HEIC, TIFF or other unsupported formats.

The image keeps its pixel dimensions after supported JPEG orientation is applied. The output is re-encoded, so its file size, metadata and appearance can differ from the source.

Choosing a format

  • JPG is useful for photographs and broad application compatibility. JPG cannot store transparency; transparent areas are placed on a white background.
  • PNG can retain transparency and is useful for graphics and screenshots. A PNG made from a JPG does not restore detail already lost through compression.
  • WebP can retain transparency and is useful where the receiving website or application supports it. Check the destination requirements before exporting.

Limits and troubleshooting

There is no quality slider or exact file-size target on this tool. Use Compress Image for adjustable compression, or Resize Image to change pixel dimensions.

Changing a filename extension does not convert a file. If the source is rejected, open it in a trusted image editor and save a real supported image file. Smaller dimensions can help when decoding exceeds the processor memory limit.

Processing and privacy

The selected files are uploaded to Helphonic for processing in private storage. No third-party file-processing service is used. Temporary source and output files are removed after the download response, and failed processing cleans up temporary files. Keep your originals and save the result to your device.

Access and current limits

Check the tool page for current access, remaining usage and per-operation limits. File count, per-file size, total size and page limits can depend on your access and can change. Device and processor safety limits still apply when usage is unlimited. A paid pass does not necessarily increase every processing limit.

One successful export counts as one operation, including its multiple files or pages. Changing options and local previews do not use an operation. Current access checks must complete before the tool can release the result.

Check the current limits

Allowances and per-operation limits can change. The Convert Image page shows the policy that applies to you. Per-operation safety limits still apply when usage is unlimited. See access passes if a tool or extra usage requires paid access.
