ZIP Creator & Extractor

Bundle local files into a ZIP archive or inspect one ZIP and download selected entries on your device.

Open ZIP Creator & Extractor

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose Create a ZIP or Extract a ZIP in ZIP action.
  2. For creation, select the files to bundle and enter an archive name. For extraction, choose one ZIP and wait for its entry list.
  3. When extracting, select the files you want to download and check the displayed size and entry limits.
  4. Run ZIP Creator & Extractor and wait for processing to finish. Cancel processing if you need to stop the operation.
  5. Download the new ZIP or the selected extracted files. Open only files you trust.

Creating an archive

Choose local files to package into one standard ZIP. The tool supports file selection, not a folder-import workflow. Archive contents use safe file names, and duplicate names receive a number so one file does not overwrite another.

The archive name controls the downloaded ZIP name. Compression savings depend on the input: already compressed images, videos or archives may shrink very little.

Inspecting and extracting a ZIP

Choose one ZIP to list its entries, then select the files to extract. Each selected file has a separate download. Folder paths are removed from downloaded names, and duplicate final names are made unique.

Only stored and standard Deflate entries are supported. Encrypted entries, symbolic links, unsafe paths and unsupported archive structures are rejected. A nested archive is extracted as a file; it is not opened recursively.

Folders count toward the archive entry limit even though only files are downloaded. The tool checks the archive before extraction, so an archive can be rejected even if you intended to select only a small subset.

Limits and troubleshooting

Current file-count, per-file and total-size limits apply to archive creation. Extraction also checks entry count and expanded file sizes; a small compressed ZIP can expand beyond the allowed limit.

If expanded data, entry counts or output sizes exceed safety limits, use a smaller archive or create separate archives in a trusted desktop tool. Corrupt entries or checksum failures should be replaced from a known-good source.

Downloaded files are not scanned for malware. Inspect the names and only open content you trust. If the browser blocks several downloads, use the individual result links and permit downloads for this page only when you intend to save them.

Processing and privacy

Files and entered content are processed on your device in this browser tab. File contents and results are not uploaded to Helphonic or sent to analytics. The page still contacts Helphonic to load its tools, check access and confirm non-content usage information. Work is not saved to your account; download or copy results before leaving or reloading the page.

Access and current limits

Check the tool page for current access, remaining usage and per-operation limits. File count, per-file size, total size and page limits can depend on your access and can change. Device and processor safety limits still apply when usage is unlimited. A paid pass does not necessarily increase every processing limit.

One successful export counts as one operation, including its multiple files or pages. Changing options and local previews do not use an operation. Current access checks must complete before the tool can release the result.

Check the current limits

Allowances and per-operation limits can change. The ZIP Creator & Extractor page shows the policy that applies to you. Per-operation safety limits still apply when usage is unlimited. See access passes if a tool or extra usage requires paid access.
