Frequently asked questions

Can I mix pages from different PDFs?

Yes. Add multiple PDFs and move pages anywhere in the combined arrangement. Source filenames and original page numbers remain visible.

When are my files uploaded?

Files and thumbnails stay in browser memory while editing. Export sends the originals and arrangement to private server storage. Temporary files are removed after the download response.

What counts as one operation?

One successful export request counts as one operation, including a ZIP containing several groups. Previewing, arranging and rotating pages do not consume operations.

Are forms, comments and signatures preserved?

No. This tool creates static page-content PDFs. Interactive forms, annotations, bookmarks and digital signatures are not preserved. Keep your originals. Encrypted and some compressed PDF structures are unsupported.

Does blank-page detection delete pages?

No. It only suggests visually near-blank pages. Review every suggestion and explicitly remove selected pages yourself.

How to use

Organize PDF

Arrange pages visually, combine sources and export a PDF or named groups of PDFs.

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Add PDFs and, when enabled, JPG, PNG or WebP images. Wait for the page thumbnails to load.
  2. Select pages and use the page controls to rotate, remove, move or perform any additional actions available on the page.
  3. Preview important pages. Check the displayed source and output budgets as you build the arrangement.
  4. Choose the entire arrangement, selected pages or named groups as the export mode, then enter an output filename.
  5. Review and confirm the PDF compatibility notice, export and save the result before closing or refreshing the tab.
Page editing controls
  • Move selected pages to a numbered output position, rotate left or right, remove pages, select all or clear the selection. Undo and Redo let you revise editing actions.
  • When enabled, duplicate pages, insert A4 or Letter blank pages, reverse the arrangement and select odd or even output positions.
  • Replace one selected page with an existing source page or a newly chosen replacement file. Interleave two PDFs to alternate front and back pages; reverse back-page order first when required. Extra pages are appended.
  • Blank-page suggestions identify visually near-blank pages. Review every suggestion because faint text or lightly printed content can be missed.
Export modes and page numbering

Entire arrangement creates one PDF. Selected pages creates one PDF from your selection. Named groups creates a ZIP containing separate PDFs. Available modes and editing actions depend on the current tool settings.

For groups, use one line per group, such as Chapter one: 1-3,5. Numbers refer to positions in the current arrangement, not the original files. Overlapping group ranges repeat pages and count toward the total output-page limit.

Reset arrangement restores imported-file order. Clear workspace also forgets the selected source files. Neither action alters the originals on your device.

Compatibility and troubleshooting

Source files, source pages, output pages and groups each have limits. Duplicates, blank pages and overlapping groups can increase output pages without increasing the original source-page count.

Keep the original PDF. Rebuilding pages does not preserve interactive forms, annotations, bookmarks, layers or digital signatures. Encrypted, damaged and some compressed PDF structures are unsupported. A PDF that opens in a viewer can still fail export. If necessary, create a standard, unlocked PDF copy in an application you trust and inspect that copy before using it here.

Work is kept only in the current tab. If access changes, keep the editor open, sign in or manage access in another tab, then use Refresh access and limits. Download any finished export before leaving.

Processing and privacy

Importing files and previewing or arranging pages happens on your device. Files stay local until you export. Export uploads the required source files and arrangement to Helphonic for private processing; temporary files are removed after the response. No third-party processing service is used. The editor does not save an account copy or restore work after a refresh.

About this tool

Choose PDFs and images, preview each page, then arrange your document without changing the originals. Add blank pages, duplicate or remove pages, interleave scanned fronts and backs, and download a PDF or ZIP of groups. Editing stays in browser memory until export. Previewing does not guarantee that every PDF structure can be exported; encrypted files are unsupported and interactive forms, annotations, bookmarks and digital signatures are not preserved.
