Meme Maker

Add top, bottom and optional extra text to your image, then download the finished meme as PNG or JPG.

Open Meme Maker

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose one JPG, PNG or WebP image.
  2. Enter top text, bottom text or both. Open Additional text layer if you need one more caption.
  3. Choose a font style, text size, colors and outline. Adjust the text positions while checking the preview.
  4. Choose PNG or JPG and set the JPG quality if relevant.
  5. Run Meme Maker and download the flattened image.

Captions and positions

Top, bottom and extra captions each accept up to 250 characters. Text wraps automatically and shrinks to fit the available space, but very long text can still be shortened or hard to read.

Text size is measured as a percentage of image width; outline thickness is relative to the text size. Top and bottom position controls move those caption blocks vertically. The extra caption uses horizontal and vertical percentages measured from the top-left corner.

Fonts and output

Font choices include a bold display style, sans serif, serif and monospace. Fonts installed on your device are used, so appearance can differ across devices. No external image-template gallery is loaded; you supply the image.

PNG or JPG output combines the image and captions into one flattened picture. Text cannot be edited as a separate layer in the downloaded file. The output uses the source image dimensions; animated inputs use their first frame.

Limits and troubleshooting

Source and output images are limited to 16 megapixels and 8000 pixels per side, as well as the current file-size limits. Resize an oversized source before adding text.

If captions overlap, shorten them, lower text size or move their positions. If text blends into the background, increase contrast or outline thickness. Inspect the actual download before sharing because a small preview can hide clipping or unreadable text.

Processing and privacy

Files and entered content are processed on your device in this browser tab. File contents and results are not uploaded to Helphonic or sent to analytics. The page still contacts Helphonic to load its tools, check access and confirm non-content usage information. Work is not saved to your account; download or copy results before leaving or reloading the page.

Access and current limits

Check the tool page for current access, remaining usage and per-operation limits. File count, per-file size, total size and page limits can depend on your access and can change. Device and processor safety limits still apply when usage is unlimited. A paid pass does not necessarily increase every processing limit.

One successful export counts as one operation, including its multiple files or pages. Changing options and local previews do not use an operation. Current access checks must complete before the tool can release the result.

Check the current limits

Allowances and per-operation limits can change. The Meme Maker page shows the policy that applies to you. Per-operation safety limits still apply when usage is unlimited. See access passes if a tool or extra usage requires paid access.
