Open Audio Cutter & Joiner

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Choose one or more WAV, MP3, Ogg, FLAC or M4A files supported by your browser.
  2. Preview the clips with their audio players and enter start and end times in seconds.
  3. Move clips up or down to set the joining order; remove unwanted clips.
  4. Adjust volume and optional fade-in and fade-out durations.
  5. Click Export edited WAV and download the joined result.

Supported audio and output

Audio must decode in the current browser, contain one or two channels and have a known duration. Browser codec support varies. WAV headers are checked before decoding. M4A, Ogg and other containers may hold unsupported codecs.

Output is always a 44.1 kHz, 16-bit PCM WAV; MP3 encoding is not included. Mono clips are duplicated across both channels when joined with stereo clips. Resampling and PCM conversion mean this is not a lossless container-only edit.

Trimming, volume and fades

Start and end times apply separately to each clip. Fades affect the beginning and end of the entire joined output, not every clip. Joining is sequential, without crossfades or overlapping tracks.

Volume ranges from 0 to 200 percent. Higher volume can clip loud samples. Lower the volume if the result sounds distorted. Source players preview the original audio; review the downloaded WAV for the final trims, gain and fades.

Memory limits and privacy

Combined source duration is limited to 180 seconds, even when selecting short excerpts from longer files. Decoded audio is limited to 64 MB; current per-file and combined compressed-file limits also apply. Up to six clips may be joined.

Audio remains on your device. Native browser decoding cannot always be interrupted immediately; Cancel prevents an export once decoding returns. No edits are saved after leaving the page.

Processing and privacy

Files and entered content are processed on your device in this browser tab. File contents and results are not uploaded to Helphonic or sent to analytics. The page still contacts Helphonic to load its tools, check access and confirm non-content usage information. Work is not saved to your account; download or copy results before leaving or reloading the page.

Access and current limits

Check the tool page for current access, remaining usage and per-operation limits. File count, per-file size, total size and page limits can depend on your access and can change. Device and processor safety limits still apply when usage is unlimited. A paid pass does not necessarily increase every processing limit.

One successful export counts as one operation. Previewing and editing do not use an operation. Daily allowances reset at 00:00 UTC. Downloads of an already-created result do not count again.

If an operation cannot finish

Use a current browser and smaller inputs if the tab runs out of memory. Some tools download a local processing library or model on first use, so an internet connection is needed even though your content stays on the device.

If the tool reports that access or limits changed, review the current policy and run it again. If usage confirmation is uncertain after an interrupted connection, a retry can count as another operation. Download completed work before reloading; this site does not keep a recovery copy.

Check the current limits

Allowances and per-operation limits can change. The Audio Cutter & Joiner page shows the policy that applies to you. Per-operation safety limits still apply when usage is unlimited. See access passes if a tool or extra usage requires paid access.
